Ways of Seeing
Take some hundred photographs, shake them loose from their time and place and see how they work in their own system - what remains is, perhaps, a Way of Seeing?

Part of this collection was also exhibited as a random double projection in my show Konkretiseringer/Being Specific at Henie Onstad Art Centre in 2008, and as part of the music/art-festival Darkness Extends, in New York 2009. When the images randomly pair up, something happens, which interest even me more than the image itself - the contrast between the images creates a space, a scene - and sometimes there is a spark there. Of sadness, humor or a feeling of real reality. Variation is my theme.
